How long will the divorce process with Kazuko take?

The answer to this question depends, among other things, on you and the pace at which you submit the necessary documents to us. As soon as we file your application with the court, you can expect a delay of 2 to 4 months before obtaining a divorce judgment, although this period may vary. For more information, consult the article on the subject published by Éducaloi: https://www.educaloi.qc.ca/capsules/la-duree-du-processus-de-divorce

How much does the consultation cost?

The consultation is free. We offer our time and expertise to inform you about the operation of our site as well as the broad outlines of the law applicable to divorce in Quebec.

Does KAZUKO accept all divorce requests?

No. We handle cases where the couple has been separated for at least a year. Cases of harassment or abuse and cases of adultery (infidelity) will be automatically refused. However, we are able to refer you to another lawyer if necessary.

What does KAZUKO mean?

“Kazuko” is made up of two Japanese words. “KAZU-” which means peace and harmony and “-KO” which means children.
